Switzerland invests in the Amazon Fund and COP30
Switzerland steps up Amazon and COP30 support. Switzerland announced a major contribution to the Amazon Fund and the upcoming COP30 in Belém, committing CHF 5 million (around USD 5.4 million) to support prevention, monitoring and deforestation-control efforts in the Amazon, while engaging in science, innovation and climate diplomacy to deepen Swiss-Brazil cooperation on the environment.
