Giovanna Pereira has been a translator and copywriter for four years. She holds a degree in Languages – Spanish Translation from the University of Brasília (UnB), where she is also pursuing a Master’s in Translation Studies. Fluent in three foreign languages, she is passionate about Gothic literature, coffee, and well-written stories. She has worked with authors such as Mary Shelley, Horacio Quiroga, and Marjorie Bowen. Currently, she focuses on reception studies and Latin American literature written by women.

Goodbye to passport stamps: Europe launches a new digital border control system

Starting October 13, 2025, travelers from countries outside the European Union, such as Brazil, will no longer have their passports stamped when entering the Schengen area. The new Entry/Exit System (EES) will replace manual checks with a digital record using biometric data, modernizing borders and marking the symbolic end of the traditional travel stamp.
